Video: The Transformation of Four10 Thames Valley Park, Reading

90degrees is pleased to announce that Four10 Thames Valley Park has completed its refurbishment programme and is ready to welcome its new occupiers.

Time-lapse cameras were on-site throughout the refurbishment, and 90degrees has edited the resulting footage into a video that showcases the building’s dramatic facelift.

90degrees is excited to announce that WeWork – a US company that provides shared workspace for start-ups, freelancers and entrepreneurs – has announced a move into No. 1 Spinningfields.

In all, WeWork will be taking 60,000 sq ft of space within the 19-storey building. Costing No. 1 Spinningfields is the final piece of Allied London’s hugely ambitious Spinningfields development – a 20-year project that’s transformed Manchester’s city centre.

WeWork operates more than 140 locations across 15 countries and 45 cities, with 14 locations operational in London. “WeWork coming to Manchester is a big story,” says Allied London chief executive Mike Ingall. “It’s a powerful brand that will help Manchester and us as developers and investors with our inward investment agenda.”

90degrees has been involved with No. 1 Spinningfields since its earliest days. The team has produced an array of high-end collateral to promote the space, included an award-nominated app, a 60-page brochure, a marketing suite and a premium-quality website.

Ready for Launch: Norfolk House, Manchester

Deutsche Asset Management acquired Norfolk House in 2015 and has since carried out a high-quality refurbishment of the entrance, reception and ground-floor areas. The ground-floor office space has been split into four smaller suites, two of which have already been let.

The property is ideally situated between the retail core and the central business district, and its immediate surroundings – which include the Grade II-listed Stock Exchange – are also set to see improvements. With new independent bars and restaurants opening up nearby, Norfolk House is a future-proofed business location.

To coincide with the re-launch of the building, 90degrees carried out a re-branding campaign that reflected its impressive new look and feel. We produced a printed pre-refurbishment brochure; a printed completion brochure; a holding page; a full website; a marketing suite; external signage (in the form of projection banners); and HTML emailers. In addition, we organised a breakfast launch event.

You can view the Norfolk House website here.

Ready for Launch: Soapworks, Salford

This week brought the news that Soapworks, Manchester’s most successful suburban office scheme, has been brought to the market for £55.5 million.

Soapworks is the former Colgate-Palmolive factory in Salford Quays. It achieved impressing pre-lettings of 90% in 2014, and is now being sold by US private equity group Carlyle. CBRE have been instructed to sell the property, tenants of which include Talk Talk and the Home Office.

The sale presents an opportunity to acquire 230,000 sq ft of fully-let office space in the heart of Salford Quays, with a further 160,000 sq ft ready for redevelopment or refurbishment.

90degrees were appointed by CBRE to produce a bespoke, high-end investment marketing brochure. The finished collateral boasts large-format photography and a hardback, lay-flat format, ideal for portraying the premium nature of the offering.

Do One Terry

90degrees was recently appointed to produce an auction catalogue for Do One Terry, a one-off charity event held at London’s Pergola On The Roof. The event was organised with the intention of raising awareness of skin cancer while also raising funds for organisations treating skin-cancer sufferers or working on research into a cure.

A digital version of the auction catalogue was emailed out a week before the event, creating buzz and informing attendees of the items they’d be able to bid on. With an impressive array of high-value items and experiences on offer – including Wimbledon final tickets, signed Man-United shirts and a stay at The Belfry – the auction was a huge success, raising in excess of £100,000 for the three chosen charities: St George’s Hospital, The Institute for Cancer Vaccine and Immumotherapy and Paul’s Cancer Support Centre.

90degrees received great feedback from our client, Do One Terry’s Sammy Johns: ‘Thank you all so much for your work on this we’ve have had so many compliments on the booklet! It’s led to major donations to the charities, and the money will be well used to help people and hopefully one day find a cure for this horrendous disease.’

In Progress: Maple + Midford, Fitzrovia

90degrees recently mailed out a mysterious teaser item to 250 London agents with the intention of raising buzz and awareness around Maple + Midford, a new office and retail space in the heart of Fitzrovia.

A bustling district within London’s West End, Fitzrovia is home to an array of fashion, cosmetic and media brands – including the likes of Estée Lauder and Facebook – so we wanted to create a suitably stylish item that would also get people talking.

Perfectly (and fortuitously!) timed with a run of good weather, our Maple + Midford sunglasses landed on agents’ desks mid-May. Sporting subtle M+M branding on the arms and presented within a bespoke box and pouch, the sunglasses arrived with a simple, enigmatic message: “Spring/Summer Collection Coming Soon”.

The sunglasses have been well received, with many agents posting shots of themselves sporting their new eyewear to social media. A follow-up mailer will soon be sent out, announcing the launch of the Maple + Midford website and ‘solving the mystery’ with further details about this stylish new building.

Ready for Launch: The Chancery, Post-Completion Brochure

Following the agents’ event on 8 March 2017, 90degrees has now finalised the post-completion brochure for The Chancery, a Grade A office building in the heart of Manchester’s business district.

The purpose of the brochure is to give the building’s agents new marketing materials to pass on to potential tenants. Deploying brand-new photography, the brochure focuses on showcasing the Chancery’s best features: the large, re-carpeted floor plates; the recently refurbished reception; and the spectacularf location in the heart of the CBD in Spring Gardens.

The brochure itself is layflat binding, which lends itself to images that are worthy of using across two pages – perfect for our widescreen shots of the Chancery’s expansive floor plates. Gold colouring – a key part of the aesthetic that 90degrees’ created for the Chancery – can also be seen throughout the brochure.

Ready for Launch: Enterprise City

On 26 April Manchester’s iconic Old Granada Studios hosted the launch event for Enterprise City UK, an ambitious, far-reaching project with the aim of creating a tech and creative hub within Allied London’s St. John’s development.

This innovative hub will be centred around four buildings within the wider St. John’s development: Manchester Goods Yard, Old Granada Studios, the Bonded Warehouse and the 26-storey No. 1 Grape Street.

“We don’t see Enterprise City UK as a property development,” says Allied London chief executive Mike Ingall. “We’re trying to be entrepreneurial providers of infrastructure. To the companies that will be invited here: we won’t sell you out, and we won’t harangue you for rents, rates and service charges.”

Around 50,000 people currently work in the tech and creative industries in Manchester. Mike Ingall believes that Enterprise City could help to double that number, with the 10,000 roles created within the scheme generating thousands more positions throughout the city.

90degrees has been heavily involved with Enterprise City – and the St. John’s development as whole –from its inception, providing branding, design, printed collateral and a bold digital presence  enterprisecityuk.com. We’ll be continuing to support the project as it unfolds.
